Each month here on our blog, uWink will be highlighting a different trend for the restaurant industry in 2007. When Nolan developed the idea for uWink several years ago, these trends weren’t even on the radar, proving just how cutting edge the uWink concept is!  According to the 2007 Restaurant Industry Forecast, full-service restaurant sales are expected to increase 5.1 percent this year over last, reaching $181.6 billion in 2007. What are restaurants doing to meet the demand? Along with increasing productivity and expanding takeout options, a major focus will be on integrating more technology solutions both in dining rooms and kitchens! Already built into its concept, uWink uses technology throughout its operations – from touchscreen terminals on each table to the kitchen. Looks like uWink’s ahead of the trend!
