We’ve been doing final menu testing in our kitchen this week!  It’s been amazing to watch the back-of-the-house team cook up a storm.  They put thier heart and souls into the food and it shows. 

uWink will be serving Modern Comfort Food - traditional favorites updated for today’s palettes. 

Last night we tried some amazing dishes!  Greg Schroeppel - our executive chef - really knows how to cook!  In fact I think its more like magic!  He turns normal ingredients into delectiable delicious dishes.  The food we tasted last night was flavorful and tasty - balancing spices and flavors to create dishes that you think about days later.  In fact I am still craving the penne pasta with wild mushrooms in a roasted garlic cream sauce!  Yum!!!

And today at lunch I was totally craving the southwestern Caesar salad!  Crisp romaine lettuce with roasted corn, red pepper, and spiced pepitos, topped with thinly sliced yellow and blue corn tortilla strips and queso fresca!  Wow!  I loved it!

This weekend, the first meals were served out of uWink’s kitchen and Hollywood came to film it!

We’ll tell you more once we can, but right now, all we can tell you is that our kitchen is fully functional and that Hollywood paid us a visit!

I don’t know if you read the press release, but I can finally talk about our amazing Chef, Greg Schroeppel.  He is a perfect fit for uWink!

He has extensive kitchen experience at such well known restaurants as SPAGO, Chinois on Main, and Granita.

He has considerable recipe and product development experience with major chains such as A & W, Applebee’s, Arby’s, Arco AM/PM, Frito Lay, La Salsa, Star-Kist, and Vons.

And he catered high-profile celebrity events such as the Superbowl post party - San Diego, Maxim’s post Oscar party, Renee Zellweger’s Christmas party, and Melissa Etheridge’s wedding.  Let’s just say we are very excited that Chef Greg Schroeppel is now focused on uWink!
